The Shank

The Shank is a wooden lodge sleeping four, arranged across two floors with distinct spaces for relaxing and sleeping. Downstairs, the kitchen has everything needed for self-catering—gas cooker, dishwasher, fridge and microwave—leading into a separate dining area. A utility room contains a washing machine. The first bedroom has two single beds and a bathroom with bath and shower. Upstairs, a living room with television and games looks out over the grounds, while the second bedroom offers a super kingsize bed and ensuite shower room.

Outside, the property opens onto multiple garden spaces: a front verandah, a gated rear verandah, and a balcony, all furnished for sitting out. The private hot tub is the real draw here—positioned to take in views of Caldecott Hall Golf Club's fairways across its 400 acres. Parking for two cars sits on-site. Essentials including bed linen, towels, wi-fi and heating are covered; the property is no-smoking.

The lodge forms part of Fairway Lakes Village, close to the Norfolk Broads National Park. A fitness centre and indoor heated pool operate on-site (at cost). Golf and fishing are available locally; Great Yarmouth's seafront lies within reach, as do Norwich and the Norfolk and Suffolk heritage coasts. The nearest shop is three miles away; pubs are about a mile off.
