Through the entrance—three steps up—you arrive into an open-plan ground floor where living and dining space flow together around a woodburner. The kitchen sits within the same room, with a breakfast area and electric cooking facilities. Two shower rooms serve the ground floor, one with a walk-in shower and one separate toilet. This layout means families naturally gather in one place while keeping wet areas close to hand.
Upstairs, a double bedroom and bathroom occupy the first floor. Higher still, two further bedrooms—one with single beds, one with bunks—sit on the second floor. The whole property is yours alone. Wifi, electricity, bed linen and towels are covered. The back garden has a patio and furniture; there are parking spaces on the road. One dog is welcome here at no extra cost. Note that the garden itself has steps, and no smoking is permitted indoors.
Minffordd lies on the A487 between Porthmadog and Penrhyndeudraeth. Porthmadog is five minutes away and home to the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Steam Railway. The coast nearby includes Black Rock Sands, a wide beach backed by dunes, and Harlech with its castle. Portmeirion, ten minutes off, is an Italianate village open to the public. Inland, Blaenau Ffestiniog has adventure activities including Zip World and Bounce Below. A pub is within a mile of the cottage.
