Beudy

Walking through the door of Beudy, you enter a ground-floor open-plan space where living, dining and kitchen merge into one. French doors open onto a courtyard with seating and a barbecue, making it easy to move between indoors and out. Upstairs are three bedrooms—two doubles and a single—served by a bathroom with bath and shower. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking, with an electric oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. Electricity, wifi, bed linen and towels are included.

Beudy began as a 16th-century cowshed attached to the original farmhouse and has been converted into a rural holiday base in Caernarfon, Gwynedd, at the edge of Snowdonia. The setting means walks start from the property itself—the hillside behind offers views across pasture, and the wider landscape draws walkers of varying abilities. A pub is within a mile. Parking for three cars is available on site. The property is non-smoking, and you are welcome to explore the surrounding pastures with the owners' permission.

All Aboard the Relaxation Express: A Stay at Y Beudy Cottage Hold onto your hats, folks, because I've stumbled upon a hidden gem in Wales so dazzling, it practically sparkles! Y Beudy Cottage isn’t just a place to stay; it’s a ticket to tranquility with a side of pure, unfiltered Welsh magic. Let’s talk location first: This place is nestled in a spot so scenic it could make a postcard jealous. Right outside the door, you’ve got access to walks that could make a marathoner weep with joy, and if that’s not enough, there’s a steam train that chugs past like something straight out of a fairytale. And yes, you can wave at the passengers from the comfort of your own private paradise—just try not to look too smug about it. Inside the cottage, you’ll find a place so well-equipped, it feels like Mary Poppins herself had a hand in setting it up. Need to cook a feast? Check. Need space to stretch out after too much cheese and wine (or in my case, just the cheese)? Double check. This place comfortably hosts up to five guests, whether they walk on two legs or four. Yes, Barry and Jax, our canine companions, gave it a solid two paws up! The whole gang—my wife, our train-obsessed 14-year-old, my parents, and the aforementioned furballs—had a blast. Whether we were exploring the breathtaking surroundings or simply lounging in the cozy cottage, Y Beudy delivered a getaway so relaxing, it should come with a hammock as standard. Overall Rating: A blazing 5 out of 5 stars Pros: - Scenery so stunning it could make a grown man cry (I’m not saying I did, but…) - Steam train vibes that are equal parts charming and nostalgic - A cottage so comfy and well-stocked, you’ll forget about life’s worries—until checkout time Would recommend to anyone who could use a little peace, a lot of beauty, and maybe a train ride or two. Wales, you’ve outdone yourself! So, if you’re after a break that’ll leave you refreshed, relaxed, and maybe a tad reluctant to return to reality, Y Beudy Cottage is the destination you never knew you needed!

A lovely little 2 bedroom cottage with amazing views including a hot tub where you can watch those stunning sunsets. The cottage is well equipped and has everything you need to enjoy your stay. We stayed as a family of 4 for 7 nights and there is so much to do in the area within 20-30mins of the cottage. We will definitely be back and would recommend this cottage to anyone.
