Oakley Cottage stands on the water's edge at Oakley Wharf, looking out across the Glaslyn valley towards Snowdonia's peaks. The village of Penrhyndeudraeth sits on Cardigan Bay's coastline, within reach of both mountains and beaches. Everything is on the ground floor: a living room with Freeview television, a kitchen with gas cooking, and two bedrooms—one double and one single—plus a shower room. A patio with garden furniture opens from the kitchen, and there is parking for one car on site.

The cottage works well for a small family or couple wanting a base for exploring the area. Porthmadog, a working harbour town with the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Steam Railway, is close by. Black Rock Sands stretches for miles along the coast; Portmeirion's Italian-style gardens lie nearby; Harlech Castle overlooks a broad beach a short drive south. Inland, Zip World and Bounce Below cater to those seeking thrills, while mountain biking trails thread through the hills.
