Samson's Place is a bungalow built on a single level, meaning everything—living space, bedrooms, shower room and kitchen—sits on the ground floor. The building stands on a quiet residential street within easy walking distance of Morfa Bychan beach, with Black Rock Sands, a two-mile stretch of sand backed by dunes, just ten minutes on foot away. The enclosed rear garden has seating and furniture for outdoor time.
Inside, you get a living room with an electric wood burner, a dining room, and a kitchen equipped for proper cooking with oven, hob, microwave and washing machine. One bedroom has a double bed; the other offers a zip-and-link kingsize that splits into two singles on request. An electric heater provides warmth throughout. Wifi, electricity, bed linen and towels are all included. Parking for three cars is on site. One dog stays free.
Porthmadog town centre is two miles away with shops, restaurants and the Welsh Highland Railway. Portmeirion village is under fifteen minutes' drive, and Harlech Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage site, lies just under twelve miles further. No smoking indoors, please. Check-in is after 16:00 and checkout before 10:00.

We’ve stayed here around 4/5 times now and find it to be one of the best holiday cottages we’ve used! First, as it’s used by the owners too, they keep it immaculate and very well stocked up and cared for. It’s a home from home, with everything you can possibly need in the kitchen, from apple corers and Tupperware, to spare sponges and washing tablets for the washing machine. Elsewhere, there’s loads of extras in the home to ensure you’re comfortable (think blankets, fans, hoovers, Netflix, good internet, a hosepipe at the front for cleaning the dog after a run on the beach…) It’s a very warm cottage in winter thanks to the double radiators everywhere. Spending Christmas there off-season was lovely! The walks nearby are plentiful, either from the door or a short drive away. It’s a great base for exploring. Cannot recommend highly enough! I’ve included pics from nearby places, such as the beach and the cliffs 10 mins walk from the cottage, and Beddgelert and Criccieth 15 minutes drive away.
