Tre-Allt Cottage

Penmaenpool sits at the fringe of Eryri National Park, where the Mawddach estuary meets wooded hillside. The hamlet is quietly positioned inland from Barmouth and Dolgellau, both within easy reach by car. This traditional stone cottage occupies that pocket of landscape where walking trails begin almost at the doorstep—the Mawddach Trail runs opposite—and the sandy beaches of the Cardigan Bay coast lie just beyond the next ridge.

Tre-Allt Cottage is a two-bedroom, one-bathroom property that sleeps four. The ground floor contains a living space with woodburner and Freeview TV, a separate dining area, a kitchen with electric cooking and breakfast bar, and a conservatory housing the washing machine. Upstairs are two bedrooms: one with a 4ft 6in double bed, the other with a 4ft double. The bathroom has a bath with shower over and a heated towel rail. Bed linen, towels, WiFi and heating are included, along with fuel for the woodburner. An enclosed front garden comes with furniture and a barbecue.

The cottage suits families drawn to the beaches, cyclists and riders hunting routes through the valleys, or walkers aiming for Cader Idris or Coed y Brenin. Those wanting quieter time will find independent shops, pubs and restaurants in Barmouth, or a journey along the Cambrian Coast Railway. Smoking is not permitted inside.
