What visitors say
I enjoyed the house - it reminded me of my grandparents houses. The gardens wonderful. The house originally rented and then bought and extended. His writing hut is very simple. Shaw won many awards in his lifetime.

Huge charm. GBS is now little known for his stage works and it's entirely possible that most of us might only be familiar with the musical adaptation of Pygmalion into My Fair Lady. He was a generous, intriguing man, devoted to his wife and the only person to have scored the double of Oscar and Nobel Prize. Shaw's Corner is beautifully turned out, chock full of Victorian knick-knackery, with beautifully crafted gardens and views for miles. Well worth finding but please drive carefully along narrow approach roads that really don't like cars.

Excellent house left to the national trust by George Bernard Shaw before he died .so you're seeing the house as he left it . Very nice place with experts to guide you round . Very nice garden to wander in .

Very interesting to learn more about one of the country's literary giants and national treasures. The gardens were lovely, not huge, and the house was interesting. There is work in progress in terms of the rose garden and the photo library which I think will add something for a return visit some time, but enjoyed the trip
