About Innkeepers Lodge Harrogate - West Beckwith Knowle

Harrogate is known for its gardens and spa heritage, and on the western side of town, along Otley Road, Innkeepers Lodge Harrogate - West Beckwith Knowle makes the most of that setting. The hotel is attached to The Pine Marten, a traditional pub and restaurant, so guests are never far from a meal or a drink without having to leave the site.

Rooms are en-suite, with family options available for those travelling with children, and each comes with free Wi-Fi and drinks in the room. A breakfast buffet is served each morning, and reception is staffed around the clock for guests arriving at odd hours. Free on-site parking is a practical bonus for anyone driving up from further afield.

Outside, there's a garden to sit in when the weather allows, and the location puts RHS Garden Harlow Carr and the Royal Pump Room Museum within easy reach, along with nearby golf, pubs and restaurants for those wanting to explore beyond the lodge itself.

We booked a family room. Room 11 first night we were kept awake by the sound of a clicking noise followed by a loud gush of water lasting 10 seconds this happened every 8 minutes. The en suite had a musty, stagnant water smell. The room was an attic room with lowered ceiling and restricted door. Following morning complained to reception. They agreed to allocate us to room 6. Despite the time and hassle of having to repack we decided to move rooms. That night we experienced the same issue with the gushing water. I'm going to complain again as we paid £500 for 4 nights and expect better. So tonight l am going to use ear plugs to get some sleep. Needless to say we won't be returning to this establishment!

The restaurant is lovely. We always make an effort to come everytime we visit Harrogate. Sadly, the room wasn't great. We could hear snoring coming from the room next to us and music from the restaurant downstairs. Lacking in basic amenities such as an iron and luggage rack. Not very clean, I found a bug in my towel, bathroom floor was dirty, and there were crumbs and sticky areas on the bedroom floor. Bathroom had poor ventilation, remained damp all day. We would not stay here again but we will return for food.

Lovely locations and building. Rooms big and reasonably quiet. Meals nice but car entry is difficult needs to be widened.

We went for 1 night. It is very close to RHS Harlow Carr and we went to see the Glow, so excellent location. We pre booked a meal in the restaurant, but was not seated in there. 2 menu choices were not available at 7.30pm when we requested our food. We plumped for the pork medallions and they were tough. The fire in the area we had our meal also was allowed to go out and the room went to cold to enjoy. Our room was very cold. It was one of the coldest night of the year. There was only a very thin duvet on the bed and no additional blankets in the room. So we used the towels from the bathroom and our puffer coats to help keep us warm. Not good. We had room 7, which has only a studding wall to room 8. Although not the hotels fault, but the occupants of room 8 kept us awake until 5.30am. I'm no prude, but not nice to hear for hours on end. We will not be going back.
