Gensing Lodge

Photo: Gensing Lodge

A Victorian maisonette from the 1800s, Gensing Lodge has been carefully restored to keep its original character—high ceilings, cornicing, stained glass and decorative fireplaces—while adding modern comfort throughout. The property sits on the Saint Leonards seafront, a short walk from the beach and the town's shops and cafés.

Inside, three double bedrooms and a family bathroom serve six guests. The main floor has the living room and kitchen, both bright and airy; the kitchen is fully equipped for cooking, with a gas cooker, dishwasher and everything else you might need. Upstairs is a third bedroom. Essentials including wifi, heating, bed linen and towels are all provided, and there is dedicated parking for two cars on site, with additional street parking nearby. One well-behaved pet can stay free of charge.

The property works equally well for families, groups of friends or anyone needing a base to explore the East Sussex coast. No smoking inside. Check-in is after 4pm and checkout before 10am.

Beach Haus stay over the weekend was a delight. Fresh and full of vibrant works of art in all rooms. A home from home for me. I made contact during my stay and had a response later in the day. So all good. Diana

Ideal location - close to the station, seafront, galleries and bars of central St Leonards. Quirky and comfortable - beautiful artworks on the walls, classy magazines, spacious, light - would definitely stay again!

What an amazing space to relax and soak in the Saint Leonards vibe! Gensing Lodge is an awesome space to spend a weekend or weeks tuning in to the creative and artistic life here in Saint Leonards. With bespoke bakers and cafes on your doorstep what a better place to holiday. And with the famous Hastings and Battle close by by what more could one ask for. I'm loving it!!!!

Lovely place, very unique and well decorated, with well-stocked kitchen, good wifi and streaming services and plenty of space. Great location, just 2 minutes walk from some lovely independent shops and eateries, including a great little food hall. Also very close to the sea front. We went in the quiet season, but there was no excessive noise or any sort of trouble in the area.
