There is a falconary show with a great display that is a must see especially for the kids as the bird swoop and fly across the crowds. No wigs were harmed in the making of the event. 😀 Take time to have a look in the museum. Not for everyone as it itls filled with taxidermy but the Pictish stones on display again facinating bit of the history of the area. It is a good day out! This is an amazing Castle that has been very well cared for and beautifully maintained. There are so many fascinating rooms that give you a real sense of the past. This is one of the best stately buildings I have visited. It has a very interesting museum of the gentry of the time and how the went on safaris and preserved the animals and birds the caught. They also have a few beautiful birds of prey. Gardens that are so well kept. Great day out. Definitely pay them a visit if you are in the area.

Absolutely beautiful, lots of good history, lots to see, amazing views, lovely gardens, and a very interesting falconry show. Must love steep stairs to get down to the gardens though. Crowded, and only one sign to explain the room per room, which added to the crowding.
