Golspie is a quiet Highland resort with a sandy beach, shops and restaurants within walking distance, plus golf courses, mountain biking and fishing nearby. Drummuie House occupies a full acre on the edge of the village, a substantial detached stone property built two centuries ago and comprehensively restored. It sleeps ten across five bedrooms and four bathrooms, making it suitable for large families or groups wanting the whole place to themselves.
The accommodation spreads across two floors. Downstairs you'll find a contemporary farmhouse kitchen, a formal dining room with seating for ten, a living room with a wood burner, and a games room with a pool table. Bedrooms are on the first floor: two principal doubles (one with a four-poster, one with a sleigh bed, both with en-suite facilities) and three further bedrooms sharing the remaining bathrooms. High ceilings and large sash windows are original features. The enclosed gardens are mature and spacious, suitable for children and pets, which stay free. One dog is welcome. Wifi, electricity, bed linen and towels are included. No smoking throughout.
The Highland Wildcat Trail, a demanding mountain bike route, runs directly behind the property. Loch Fleet nature reserve, known for seals and osprey, lies three miles south. The location suits groups needing multiple bedrooms and space to spread out, whether for a family gathering or a weeks break combining coastal walks with outdoor activity.

What guests say
A wonderful 5 bedroom house on the edge of Golspie with distant sea views. Beautifully furnished throughout and thoughtfully kitted out with everything you'll need away from home. Hive heating system and a working log burner makes it toasty warm. Lots of helpful QR codes around the house with instructions for all the equipment and excellent communication from Rory and Charlotte (owners) prior to staying. 2 tall fridges and a separate freezer here so plenty of space for larger parties. Huge well maintained gardens all around the house and a pretty sitting area with wooden summer house and bench pergolas. A very well cared for and clearly loved family property, superb.
