About Champneys Henlow
Champneys Henlow is a large, purpose-built spa retreat set in the Bedfordshire countryside near Henlow village, with 71 rooms arranged around its extensive wellness facilities. The scale of the place is part of its character: this isn't a boutique conversion but a fully equipped destination hotel, adults-only throughout, with an indoor swimming pool, gym, sauna and spa treatments at its core.
Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms and in-room drinks, and the hotel offers the practical extras of a larger property, including a lift, 24-hour reception, porter service and free on-site parking. There's a restaurant for meals along with breakfast service, plus a garden and outdoor seating for quieter moments. The hotel also caters for weddings, with a dedicated bridal suite and VIP facilities, and has business services on hand for those combining work with a stay.
Beyond the grounds, the surrounding area suits walking and cycling, with golf, fishing and watersports also nearby, and a choice of pubs and restaurants within reach for evenings out. It's a hotel built around slowing down and using its facilities rather than a base for sightseeing.
