Pengethley Manor
Herefordshire, County of
View on Google MapsPengethley Manor is an 11-bedroom Georgian house on the Herefordshire-Monmouthshire border that sleeps up to 22 people. The whole property is yours alone, arranged across two floors with a logical flow from entrance through to the rear gardens. Ground level holds a living room with wood-burning stove, dining room, library with table tennis, and a kitchen equipped for cooking at scale—double ovens, two fridges, two dishwashers and steamers among other kit. Each of the 11 bedrooms comes with its own bathroom, most with both bath and shower, and beds range from four-posters to zip-and-link configurations that can be split into singles. Bed linen and towels are provided.
What makes this place work for large gatherings is the dedicated space to spread out. Beyond the main dining room is a second one; the library offers games; the rear garden has a patio, furniture, and a four-person hot tub operational April to September. An outdoor swimming pool—10 metres by 5 metres, varying in depth from 0.8m to 1.3m—runs the same season, with set hours from 9am to 9pm. Twenty cars can park on the private drive. Wi-Fi is on throughout, electricity and heating are covered, and the welcome pack gets you started. The property is strictly no smoking, and pets are welcome at no extra cost. Four steps lead to the entrance.
