Westways

Herefordshire, County of

Westways is a detached bungalow near Ross-on-Wye in south Herefordshire, renovated in 2021 and set among the rolling hills at the edge of the Forest of Dean. Ground-floor layout makes it accessible, with two bedrooms—one with a super king bed, one with a double—and a bathroom with bath and shower. The kitchen has electric cooking and full appliances; both living areas have smart TVs. Everything is on a single level, just two steps to the entrance.

The property comes with its own heated indoor swimming pool (10m × 5m, 1.3m deep), available by arrangement with the owner during daylight hours, complete with changing facilities and shower. An orchard grows apple, pear and plum trees. The garden is enclosed with patio seating and a barbecue. Parking for two cars is on-site, and there's a bike store. Bed linen, towels and wi-fi are included; electricity and heating are provided.

Ross-on-Wye town centre lies 1½ miles away with independent shops and restaurants. The Mill Race pub is within walking distance. From the back door, you can access the Wye Valley Walk directly. A canoe launch on the Wye is a short drive away, and Wythall Estate vineyard nearby offers tours and tastings. No smoking in the property.
