What visitors say
Together with my 9 year old son, we attended Celtic Harmony's Easter Dragon Egg Hunt. The experience begins with a 5 min walk from the car park up a stony path to a wooded glade in which sits a Celtic roundhouse village. It is not glitzy, fast, loud, in your face or brash. My initial reaction was curiosity and feeling slightly underwhelmed. However, it dawned on me through our visit that this is an experience that seeks an authenticity and simpler way of interacting than many other attractions, and we passed 5 hours easily, engaged in walking, exploring, drumming, listening, crafting and juggling. The welcome was warm and all of the staff had smiles on their faces. They were dressed in celric clothes and facilitated various activities kindly and carefully. Following the dragon egg trail we solved coded rune clues, Anglo Saxon riddles and tried our hand at making dragon eggs from clay and natural materials, hay nests, practiced our stone age hunting skills on the prepared course and enjoyed listening to the birds singing loudly in the woods. We marvelled at the craftsmanship and construction of the roundhouses and enjoyed our modern pizza and burger lunch from the cafe. The drumming workshop was a highlight as 20+ people all took part in a fire lit roundhouse creating a collective experience that will be remembered for a long time. The juggling opportunities were fun and the talks were interesting and engaging. The whole day was simple, delightful and engaging. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys getting outside, learning a little bit about our past and spending time together as a family.

Had the absolute best time. Me and three kids have an amazing day learning about traditions and celebrations,.We did... archery, axe throwing, made clay medals, did 'arena games', made paper fire torches, visited the prehistory exhibition, solved riddles, had faces painted, played in sandpit, played disk golf, had lunch, built a den, had story time, then finished the day with a procession with instruments and our fire torches. What a busy, memorable and auperb day!!

My daughter had the best two days for May half term camp at a very reasonable price much cheaper than the camps I’ve done before with far more activities from den building, pottery. building fire from flint and and steel and cooking their own sausages My daughters Highlights were the disc golf archery and the scavenger hunt I’ve heard they do disc golf at the weekends so I will def go back to do it as a family as they have a cafe too selling food and drink A little woodland paradise I didn’t know was there until someone else recommended it Thanks to the wonderful staff as I was nervous leaving her someplace new
