This is without a doubt one of the cleanest inns I have ever stayed at. The room and shared bathroom were absolutely immaculate and I had a very cosy and comfortable night's sleep. My room was above the bar but it's not a boisterous place! Breakfast service was quick and presented beautifully. Would definitely stay again, thank you!

We stayed here for a few nights while touring the various sites along Hadrian's Wall. The place was fine for this - our only gripe being a shared bathroom, but in the end that didn't matter too much. The hosts couldn't have been more pleasant or helpful and the breafkasts were very good. Meals in the pub were good as well; personally, I don't like TVs on in a pub - but there again, it is a pub!! I would certainly recommend it as aplace to stay for a tour of the area.

Although we didnt stay here, we did visit for our evening meal. It was absolutely fantastic. Amazing all around, I got their house cheese burger whilst my partner got the lasagna special. We each had a few drinks and I couldnt have asked for more! Amazing venue all round. Spoke with a few visitors to the hotel side of the venue and heard nothing but good stories! Well recommended! Not to mention their gorgeous garden, its a hidden oasis in an already stunning landscape!
