Photo: Hall Yards Cottage

Hall Yards Cottage stands beside Wall's village green in Northumberland, a converted stone building with open-plan living on the ground floor. The main space combines kitchen, dining and sitting areas under vaulted ceilings with exposed stone, organised around a working wood burner and a breakfast bar. A kingsize bedroom and a second room with bunk beds sleep four; the shower room has underfloor heating and a double shower.

The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking, with electric oven, hob and dishwasher, plus coffee machine. Electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and wifi are covered. One car can park on site. One dog stays free. The cottage does not permit smoking.

The village location puts you within walking distance of a Michelin-starred restaurant, and Hexham's market, abbeys and riverside walks are nearby. The property suits couples, small families or anyone wanting access to Northumberland's outdoor routes—Hadrian's Wall and the moorlands are all within reach from here.

We had a lovely stay at hall yards cottage, beautiful decor inside and comfortable furniture. Well thought out with all essentials provided. There is a comprehensive property booklet with added information about near by attractions & places to eat etc. Good base to explore sections of Hadrian’s wall with its many museums/attractions). The kitchen has everything you need make and prepare meals yourself. We had some lovely meals out in Hexham (heart of Northumberland pub) , Corbridge & Chollerford (the riverside kitchen). There is plenty of on street parking outside the cottage. Although there is no outdoor space at the property there is a lovely green square infront with benches and a park around the corner with benches & large field . The village of Wall was very quiet and peaceful. We had a lovely walk into Acomb on the footpaths/bridleway (1.5/2 hours) with a stop for food in the sun inn Acomb.

Lovely cosy cottage with woodburner. Great location with walks from the door and plenty to do nearby including Corebridge and Hexham which are well worth exploring.

We’ve had a truly wonderful, relaxing time. Superb accommodation, and looking to book again next year.
