Balmore Farmhouse

This stone farmhouse stands a few miles south of Inverness, on the edge of Highland countryside. Built to accommodate seven guests across four bedrooms and two bathrooms, it offers the kind of space and privacy that makes family holidays or group trips straightforward. The ground floor holds a living room with a wood burner, a fitted kitchen opening into a dining area with countryside views, and a utility room with washer and dryer. One kingsize bedroom with ensuite is also down here. Upstairs, three further bedrooms—two kingsize, one single—share a family bathroom.

The kitchen comes with everything needed for self-catering: electric oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave and American-style fridge freezer. Electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and wifi are included, along with initial logs for the burner. Outside, a large enclosed garden has sitting-out areas, garden furniture, a barbecue and firepit. A private hot tub sits in its own space. Parking accommodates four cars. One dog is welcome at no extra cost. The property draws water from a borehole rather than mains supply.

Loch Ness lies two miles away; the Moray Coast is within reach for a day trip. Inverness town centre is close enough for restaurants and supplies, while the wider Highlands offer hill walks, lochs and glens. Smoking is not permitted indoors.
