Bothan Aonghais is a restored stone cottage on the Isle of Skye's dramatic northern edge, near Portree. Everything is on the ground floor: a kitchen-diner and sitting room both look out over the sea, with the wood-burner in the lounge providing warmth on cooler evenings. The bedroom has a king-size bed, and there is a shower room with a heated towel rail. A front garden with decking and seating catches the best of the light and the view across the water to the Outer Isles.
The kitchen is equipped for proper cooking—electric oven, hob, microwave and fridge. Bed linen, towels, wifi and electricity are included, along with the first load of wood for the stove. There is parking for one car on site. The cottage does not permit smoking.
The location suits anyone wanting to base themselves for exploring Skye without being in the middle of things. Portree is the nearest town; from here the island's lochs, ridges and coastlines are within reach, and the cottage's decking is a practical place to sit with a map and a cup of tea between journeys.

A beautiful and lovingly-maintained holiday cottage in a stunning location. Amazing sea views looking west towards the outer hebrides, great place to watch the sun set. Very well equipped and spotlessly clean.
