Culrain Cottage

Fort Augustus sits where Loch Ness meets the Caledonian Canal, a working Highland village with shops, restaurants and bars within easy reach of Culrain Cottage. The property itself occupies two floors of a traditional stone building, retaining original features like exposed beams and a fireplace with open stonework, though the fixtures and fittings are contemporary. Oil heating and double glazing keep it warm throughout, and logs for the woodburner are provided.

Downstairs, the living room centres on the woodburner and has a smart TV. The kitchen combines an electric oven and gas hob with island storage, and opens to a dining area with pine table and chairs. A newly fitted shower room completes the ground floor. Upstairs are two double bedrooms, each 4ft 6in, with windows overlooking the front of the property. Essentials like bed linen, towels, electricity and Wi-Fi are included. Outside, decking with garden furniture and a gas barbecue face both morning and evening sun; private parking accommodates two cars. One well-behaved pet can stay at no extra charge. The cottage is non-smoking throughout. Arrival is after 4pm and departure before 10am.
