Riverbank Cottage is a single-storey property built for straightforward coastal living. Everything happens on one level: the open-plan living and dining space opens onto a patio through glass doors, while the kitchen sits alongside with a full range of equipment for self-catering, from dishwasher to coffee machine. Both bedrooms are generously sized—one with a kingsize bed, the other a zip-and-link that can be configured as either a kingsize or two singles. A walk-in shower room completes the layout, with heating from a heat pump and initial logs supplied for the wood burner.
The cottage sits in Broadford on the south-eastern corner of Skye, ten minutes' drive from the Skye Bridge. Parking for two cars is on site. What distinguishes this location is immediate: you can walk from the door down to the seafront and along to local pubs. The broader island is within easy reach. The Cuillin mountains dominate the south; Dunvegan Castle lies to the north with its associated walks and boat trips; ferries run to Raasay and beyond. Beaches, lochs for kayaking, and cycling routes are scattered across the island. The Isle of Skye Candle Company operates nearby in Broadford itself. Wifi, electricity, bed linen and towels are included; smoking is not permitted.
