You enter Turin Nurin Cottage into a single-storey open-plan space that flows from living area through to kitchen and dining zone. The layout keeps everything accessible on one level: a sitting room with TV and Freesat, a kitchen equipped for proper cooking with electric oven and hob, and French doors opening onto a patio where you can eat outside. Each of the two bedrooms has an ensuite bathroom with bath and shower; one offers a king bed, the other two singles. A utility room handles laundry with a washing machine, tumble dryer and full-size fridge-freezer. Wi-Fi, heating, electricity, bed linen and towels are all covered, and there's parking for three cars on site.
The cottage sits within 200 acres of enclosed woodland above Tomatin village, reached via a forest track. The grounds contain marked walking trails of varying difficulty, and the property itself has a large patio with garden furniture and a barbecue. The woodland supports red deer, red squirrels, red kites and golden eagles; evening brings wildlife sounds from the patio. There is an unfenced stream 15 yards from the cottage. Built in 2015 from natural stone and slate on the site of an earlier ruin, the cottage works as a base for exploring the Cairngorms and the wider Highlands, or for simply staying put in a genuinely quiet setting. Tomatin village is 15 miles south of Inverness. No smoking indoors.

Both my partner and I stopped hear with our 2 dogs for a week in May 2022 and we loved it. A fantastic cottage with all the amenities you need to make a stay comfortable. A secluded location was exactly what we was looking for for an escape of the real world and enable us to relax and explore the local area. We saw loads of wildlife with was a lovely bonus. Thank you and we will be rebooking

We have just returned from a fabulous week at Turin Nurin. The Cottage was perfect for us in every detail. The location and tranquility are a delight. The Cottage has everything you need, well equipped kitchen, laundry and the under floor heating a bonus. The bedrooms and bathrooms are in very good order with plenty of hot water. Every thing was spotlessly clean. We very much enjoyed viewing the varied wildlife from the panoramic window. Thank you. Recommended.
