Lucky Voice Holborn

I visited Lucky Voice Holborn with a party of 12 after a company summer dinner. We’d all had a few drinks, as you’d expect after a work event, but everyone was in good spirits and perfectly capable of enjoying the evening responsibly. As soon as I arrived, I was immediately questioned about how much I’d had to drink. I was then told that I wasn’t allowed to buy alcohol for the first 30 minutes\. Fair enough, I accepted that without any argument. One of my colleagues was also given the same restriction. However, once we got downstairs, the situation became increasingly frustrating. Everyone else in our group was able to order drinks, but then another member of our party was suddenly told they also couldn’t buy alcohol for 30 minutes. The rules seemed inconsistent and arbitrary. After we’d respected the initial 30-minute restriction, a bouncer approached me and claimed that one of the colleagues who had been restricted had broken the rule and therefore was banned from drinking for the rest of the evening. This was despite the fact we’d paid around £360 for a two-hour karaoke booking. When I spoke to my colleague, he was adamant that he hadn’t bought a drink or consumed one. Someone else in the group had purchased a drink, but there was no evidence that he had broken the rule. It felt like accusations were being made without any clear basis. At that point, I asked for a refund because the whole experience had become so uncomfortable. To their credit, they refunded us, but that doesn’t change how poorly we felt we were treated. The staff came across as rude, dismissive and more interested in policing our group than making us feel welcome. I’ve never felt so disrespected by a venue. We were a group of paying customers looking to enjoy a company night out, and instead we were made to feel like a problem from the moment we walked through the door. I won’t be returning to Lucky Voice Holborn, and unfortunately I can’t recommend it based on this experience.

Danny was amazing from the minute we walked in he welcomed us at the bar and recommended some amazing cocktails for us to try! Kept us entertained everytime we came back to the bar with his massive energy always smiling, singing and dancing and told us it was only his second day today! Amazing character and a true credit to the venue! Will be returning for more tasty cocktails and entertainment from Danny on the bar

We just had our 10 year olds birthday party here and it was fantastic! We went for the platinum package and the kids were really happy! The chocolate cake was DELICIOUS! Our waitress Khin was absolutely fantastic! She was so patient with the girls and very attentive. The manager and barman were helpful and friendly too! Thanks so much! What a great experience!

The karaoke booths were good. Unfortunately, the rest of the service let the experience down. Drink service to the karaoke room was very slow, and you're honestly better off ordering directly at the bar. One of our drinks was made incorrectly, and when we pointed it out, the bar staff said they weren't going to change it because it would affect their stock count. Having worked in a bar myself, I found the level of service to be one of the worst I've experienced. Considering the prices, I expected much better. Sadly, I won't be returning.
