About Old Ferry Boat by Greene King Inns

Right on the bank of the River Great Ouse, Old Ferry Boat by Greene King Inns is a small seven-room inn near St Ives, within reach of Fen Drayton Nature Reserve. The riverside setting is the main draw, with a garden and outdoor seating making the most of the location, and it's a spot popular with walkers, cyclists and anglers exploring the surrounding area.

Rooms are en-suite with air conditioning and free WiFi, straightforward and comfortable rather than lavish, spread across two floors. Breakfast is served on site, and the restaurant and bar are the heart of the place, known for generous roasts and sticky toffee pudding alongside a decent range of drinks. Staff are consistently friendly and attentive, though service can be slow at busier times, so it suits guests happy to relax into the pace of a pub by the water rather than expecting a quick turnaround.

There's a meeting room for those combining business with the stay, plus free on-site parking. Nearby options include further pubs and restaurants, entertainment, and watersports, while the fen and riverside paths right outside make it an easy base for walking or cycling.

A lovely Cambridgeshire country pub in a beautiful setting right by the river Great Ouse. Very tranquil, pretty pub with lovely outside seating. Great service and lovely food with a good selection. The service was excellent and nothing was any trouble! Lewis was lovely and provided amazing services, offering us puddings even when the kitchen had technically closed. Very impressive. We.celebrated my husband's Birthday and we all had such a lovely time. Highly recommend. Thank you and we'll be back again soon. 5 stars!

One off my favourite spots to come in hot sunny summer day.. this is my secret hidden gem where I find peace and happiness to 😌 they have massive garden with a view in river where you can spot some holiday makers with boats surfing around, inside its old school low sealing GK pub, but sometimes they got super busy so be prepared to wait for food or drinks for awhile.. food I got was made with love and care and I enjoyed every bit of it! Drinks and prices was decent too 😎 staff friendly and helpful! so will definitely cycle here again soon 👍 well done team OFB! ❤️

Booked a table for early dinner today. We all enjoyed our food. We ordered signature burgers and the pie and would order again on our next visit. Friendly service and were looked after well by Shannon who checked if we needed more drinks and sorted our desserts for us too. Thank you we enjoyed our visit. We visited a few weeks ago for a birthday meal and had a great time then too.

I stopped here for a drink during a canoe trip. We entered via the marina and moored up at the bottom of the beer garden. There is a proper mooring stage so ideal for us. It was a Sunday lunchtime so really busy. However the service for beverages and cake outside was very quick. The staff, although under pressure, were friendly and efficient. There is plenty of out seating with views across the marina. Each table a large sun umbrellas. Over a pleasant experience, many thanks.
