What visitors say
I normally love climbing here and always have a great time, but this visit deserves a mention… We walked in to what can only be described as the most spectacularly unmotivating climbing playlist I’ve ever experienced. It sounded like the soundtrack to an interpretive art installation—no vocals, no rhythm to climb to, just a collection of mysterious electronic noises that made us question reality more than our next route. We politely asked if something a bit more upbeat could be put on. The replacement? Folk jazz. At one point Solid Air by John Martyn came on, which I actually had to Shazam because I couldn’t believe I was hearing it in a bouldering gym. By then our group session had evolved into an impromptu therapy session, discussing our feelings between attempts instead of sending problems. We asked a second time for the music to be changed. Another member of staff kindly put something more suitable on… only for the original playlist to make a dramatic comeback minutes later. I’ll definitely be back because I genuinely love the place, but climbing is all about movement, energy and pushing yourself. Please… let the walls be the only thing bringing us down.

Great climbing gym, plenty of problems of different grades as well as all the other training facilities you need , fingerboards, tension board, campus rungs and a gym. Great staff , friendly and knowledgeable. Good shop with a good range of gear and great coffee and food !

I went to Depot Armley today looking to try and get back into bouldering after a multi-year break. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. It was relatively quiet around 10:30ish, and a relaxed vibe in the climbing area. For someone starting from scratch again, ability wise, it was a really positive experience. I'll be back!

Have been regulars here (and Pudsey) with my three kids for the last two years. It is genuinely the most friendly, welcoming environment, regardless of who you are and your climbing ability. The staff are all fantastic, the route setting is brilliant, and the facilities are top notch. Cannot recommend enough.
