What guests say
There are so many other places to stay in Scotland that were much better than this one. Please choose another place. They literally left us out in the cold and wouldn't refund our money. We enjoyed a wonderful vacation in Scotland. Adrian's Guest House was the only bad experience, but we won't let it ruin our fun trip. We booked 2 nights here about 3 months prior to our trip through Agoda.com. Our confirmation email, as you can see in the picture, stated to please check in after 4:00pm. When I clicked on the "Manage my Booking" button it also gave instructions to check in after 4:00pm. Adrian's Guest House sent us a message through Agoda.com a week before our stay asking us to click on the link to register. I received an error message when I clicked on the icon and couldn't see any other link to use to register so I sent a message back asking for help. Adrian's Guest House never replied. Since I had our confirmation letter and number and the charge had cleared our credit card company, I figured all was well. I sent another message the day of our reservation to let them know we were looking forward to our stay and gave them an anticipated arrival time. This time they did reply three hours later at 9:00pm saying check in had just closed and we couldn't stay there. We were tired and figured there must just be a misunderstanding since we had the printed off confirmation letter that said to check in after 4:00pm. Fortunately, my wife was able to call around and find another hotel for that night. Once we checked in and got the kids to bed, I contacted Agoda.com to see what the misunderstanding was and how to fix it. The customer service representative said she would contact the property and let us know. We went to bed thinking everything would be resolved for the next day and night. Unfortunately, we received a message from Agoda.com the next morning stating our case was closed, our reservation for both nights was cancelled, and Adrian's Guest House refused to refund us our money or check us in. Fortunately, the other hotel we found was able to extend our stay for another night. This all could have been avoided if Adrian's Guest House would have responded to my first message or my second message more promptly. I hope they change their confirmation emails and booking information on "Manage my Booking" to correctly say to check in between 4:00 and 9:00pm for future travelers. Adrian's Guest House has since communicated that there is a place on their website that states that check in is between 16:00 and 21:00. I understand that, but I didn't go searching on their specific website, because by confirmation email and the manage my booking website both simply said to check in after 4:00pm. I own a small business. I understand that miscommunications, misunderstandings, and mistakes can happen. It's how we react after those situations that shows our true character and how future customers can expect to be treated. I still hope that some communication or solution can occur with our situation and will gladly update/change this review if it does.

A home away from home feeling you don't often find. The location is ideal to walk to the river, shops and theatre. The rooms are cosy, comfortable and spotless. Bathroom was new and practical, and the friendly staff make you feel very welcome. Parking is tight but convenient. My only little minus, breakfast is only 8 to 9, could do with an earlier start.

We had a hard time finding the parking for this place. We parked on the street and the hotel attendant drove the car into the hotel parking area and backed into the tight spot. I was so grateful since we had been driving in the highlands until we reached a more car dense area of Inverness. The hotel was only a few blocks from the bridge leading into the center part of Inverness. Very convenient location without having to drive into the center city. We also had a big five below bag full of dirty laundry they washed for us for 15 pounds. The breakfast was really good!

Amazing place to stay in while in Inverness or around. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were very kind and helpful. They gave us tips regarding where to go in Inverness. Their recommendations were great. The location was also perfect as it is around 10 minutes walk from the train station. I do recommend staying at Adrian's guest house!
