About Fairwinds

Walk into a room at Fairwinds and you'll find an en-suite bathroom, drinks provided, and the option of room service if you'd rather not head down for breakfast. It's an adults-only guest accommodation, which keeps things quiet and settled, and free WiFi and luggage storage are on hand for those passing through Inverness on business or a longer trip north.

Breakfast is served on site and there's a snack bar for lighter moments between meals, so guests aren't left hunting for food first thing or late in the day. The setting on Fairfield Road puts the city centre of Inverness under a mile away, making it a practical base for exploring on foot or heading further afield.

Golf, fishing, and a choice of pubs, restaurants and other eateries are all within easy reach, along with entertainment nearby for evenings out. Culloden Battlefield is another point of interest close by, giving guests a reason to venture beyond the city itself during their stay.

Inverness was full for a cycle race so I was pleased to find this lovely BnB about 10min from the river and 15 from the station at a reasonable price. Quiet, comfortable, friendly and my room seemed recently refurbished. Breakfast was very good (full Scottish, but non-cooked stuff too).

I was not impressed at all the bedding was cheap and didn't feel clean. The hostess was hostel because we were 20 minutes late for check in because of an accident; we had to take a detour. The bathroom, which by advertisements appears is our own and I had to clean blood off the toilet the next morning, it did not belong to me. The over all feel is the place could use a good cleaning. The lady's personal items were in the bathroom and I had to make a stopper to take a bath. She makes it look good in pictures but not meant to really use. The towels did not smell or feel clean. This is the worst place in Scotland to stay. I stayed at 10 different places and this was a joke. The one good quality is the breakfast, the gentleman who did breakfast was nice and accommodating.

On a free trip around Scotland, looking for a somewhere to sleep when we needed a rest. in this case, Small Room not very nice (a bit oldie), separate beds and a tiny bathroom. On the other hand, a very good breakfast. Not much live in the town, and not easy to find a Pub.
