About The Kings Highway Wetherspoon

Church Street sits right in the centre of Inverness, and The Kings Highway Wetherspoon occupies one of its buildings, putting guests within easy reach of the city's shops, pubs and restaurants, as well as Culloden Battlefield a short distance away. It's a practical base for exploring the Highlands without needing a car for everyday things.

Rooms are straightforward but well kept, with en-suite bathrooms, family rooms available, and tea, coffee and biscuits provided for guests to make themselves at home. Free WiFi runs throughout, and the on-site bar and restaurant serve breakfast and meals through the day, including options for children, at prices that keep things affordable. Service can slow down at busy times, but the value on food and drink makes up for the occasional wait.

Beyond the hotel, golf and fishing can both be arranged nearby, and there's no shortage of pubs, restaurants and entertainment within walking distance. It's a no-frills option that puts guests close to everything Inverness and the surrounding countryside have to offer.

D'luxe Detailing

We had a really enjoyable visit to Wetherspoons Inverness and were pleasantly surprised by the overall experience. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, making it a great place to sit back and unwind, whether you're stopping in for food or just a drink. The food was excellent value for money, with a wide choice on the menu to suit everyone. Everything we ordered arrived quickly, was well presented, and tasted great. It’s ideal if you’re looking for something reliable, filling, and affordable without compromising on quality. The staff were friendly and efficient, keeping things running smoothly even when it was busy. The place itself was clean and well looked after, which always makes a big difference. Overall, it’s a fantastic spot in Inverness for a casual meal or drinks. We’d definitely return again and would happily recommend it to others looking for good food, good prices, and a comfortable atmosphere.,

If you are traveling to Inverness and want a cost effective stay I can highly recommend the Kings Highway hotel. Rooms are spotlessly clean and in a central location only 4 mins from the station. The reception staff are super helpful and thank you to Karen who kindly provided a spare shortbread biscuit when my “ friends “ ate all the others!!!! We cycled the Caledonian Way and the only downside was there was no dedicated cycle storage. The staff allowed us to take the bikes into the room which was on the third floor, thankfully the lift could accommodate the cycles 🚴🏻👍 We had food at the pub amazing value for money as ever and the serving staff were very attentive. Food is really good for the price. We had the pizza, curry, and brisket burger. The drinks are strong and the beer is cold. In my opinion Wetherspoon is the best price for quality and quick foods.

The fish & chips is great value, especially since it comes with a pint included in the price. What I love about this location is the massive portion of peas they give you. Plus, they have a huge selection of sauces over by the cutlery station that you can just grab yourself, which is super handy. It gets busy, but for a budget-friendly lunch and a beer, you can't go wrong.
