About Hintlesham Hall Hotel

Hintlesham Hall dates back to the 1440s and stands as one of Suffolk's grandest country-house hotels, its Grade I listed facade and parkland setting a few miles west of Ipswich giving it a sense of scale that few other properties in the area can match. The 32 bedrooms and suites are individually decorated, many overlooking the gardens or the hall's own golf course.

The restaurant holds AA rosettes for its modern British menu built around Suffolk produce, and there is a small spa with treatment rooms for guests wanting to build a stay around relaxation rather than sightseeing. Pet-friendly rooms are available, and the grounds are large enough for a proper walk before or after dinner.

It suits couples marking an occasion or anyone wanting a slower, more indulgent alternative to a town-centre stay, with Ipswich itself a short drive away for anyone wanting to combine the two.

Had a really lovely stay at Hintlesham Hall Hotel and thoroughly enjoyed dining in the restaurant. The setting is beautiful, with a lot of character and charm, and the whole experience felt relaxing and special. The food in the restaurant was excellent beautifully presented and the customer service was just as impressive. The staff were friendly, attentive and made us feel very welcome throughout. The rooms are quite traditional and old-fashioned in style, which fits the historic feel of the hotel, although they may be less suited to anyone expecting a more modern look. Overall, a very enjoyable stay with great service, lovely food and a warm atmosphere. Would definitely recommend for a relaxing getaway.

Had a lovely night stay for our wedding anniversary in this beautiful hotel. I booked a standard room and we were surprised to be shown to the absolutely amazing Principle room Palazzo. The room was so pretty and spacious. The bed is huge and really comfy. The staff were so friendly and helpful. It was a wonderful relaxing stay.

We thank Zoe and the lovely Hintlesham Hall team for being incredibly accommodating and supportive during a recent private attendance of a high profile visiting principal taking official portraits on the grounds. Team were very professional and supported the private office with arrangements, the Bragranza Suite and the gallery overlooking the grounds were excellent recommendations. The afternoon tea served in the suite was lovely with very warm service, it was a very positive experience of the UK and particularly the East Anglia region and its timeless charm.

Dear Team at Hintlesham Hall Hotel, My wife Aysha and I just wanted to send a very polite thank you for our lovely, relaxing weekend break staying in the Regatta Room. The room was beautiful and all of the staff we met were so very helpful and polite. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay and it was exactly what we needed. We enjoyed it so much that we’ve already booked to come back for a spa session. We are definitely coming back. Please pass on our thanks to everyone who helped make our weekend so special. Kind regards, Gary chart & Aysha
