Garden Flat

Isle of Wight

Garden Flat works well for families or groups of up to six looking for a self-contained base on the Isle of Wight. The property occupies the ground and lower ground floors of a period building on a quiet square in Ryde town centre. Three bedrooms include one with a Victorian roll-top bath in the room itself, another with an ensuite shower, and a third with twin beds; two further bathrooms serve the rest of the flat. The living spaces comprise a sitting room, separate kitchen with electric cooking, and a conservatory that opens onto the enclosed back garden.

Essentials like heating, electricity, Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels come as standard. The kitchen is equipped for proper cooking rather than holiday scrambling. Two cars can park on site. An outdoor seating area and barbecue make use of the garden in warmer months. Families with young children will find a travel cot and highchair available. The flat does not permit smoking.

Ryde's seafront promenade, with its Victorian pier and independent shops, is within easy walking distance. The town has restaurants ranging from fish and chip shops to international cuisine, and the flat stretch of the prom suits families with buggies or anyone preferring a gentle walk to a steep climb. Appley Tower, a coastal landmark from 1875, lies along the eastern stretch.
