Sunny South Lodge

The Isle of Wight's southern coast brings together quiet stretches of shingle and sand with busy seaside towns. Sunny South Lodge sits on the coastal path between Sandown and Shanklin, within walking distance of the beach and close enough to both resorts for an evening out. The property is yours alone for the stay—a one-bedroom lodge sleeping two, with a shower room on the ground floor and an open-plan living space upstairs that opens onto a balcony.

Downstairs is a dining area and bedroom with a king bed; upstairs, the living space has a smart TV and DVD player, and the kitchen is equipped for cooking—electric oven, induction hob, dishwasher and all the basics. An enclosed back garden with seating overlooks the property. Wifi, heating, electricity, bed linen and towels are all included. There's a welcome pack of tea, coffee, milk and biscuits to get you started.

Shanklin town centre is a twenty-minute walk or three minutes by train, with restaurants, bars, a theatre and Shanklin Chine nearby. Sandown's pier and beach are a similar distance in the other direction. A short walk from the lodge leads down to the seafront itself, where cafes and water-sports hire sit along the shore. The property suits walkers and cyclists—outdoor charging sockets are available for e-bikes—and the bus service at Lake allows you to explore further afield. No smoking inside, though one dog is welcome.
