About Landguard Caravan Site
Shanklin, on the south coast of the Isle of Wight, is a seaside town with a working seafront and beach that draws visitors year-round. Landguard Caravan Site sits just inland, within easy reach of the town centre and its amenities. The Boathouse is moments away on foot, and there is a shop a few minutes' walk from the site.

Motor home park. Fab destination for for us near to buses, trains. A lidl one way from the park and Aldi and Morrisons the other. Lovely clean park. Outdoor pool was a very welcome experience. Lots of lovely walks to Shanklin Chine and into Shanklin. Bus journey to Newport. You can even get the bus to Ryde and go on the hovercraft to Portsmouth for lunch or shopping for the day. Great base plenty to do. Or you can just relax. We went for 2 weeks and did 4 days at the IOW FESTIVAL then chilled out after on the site and around Shanklin.

A wonderful campsite which we have been to a few times. Walking distance to Lidl, the train station and bus stops. Toilet and shower blocks are a bit dated but are clean

It was our first time staying here but been to other caravan parks here on IOW and elsewhere. Caravan was ok and park was ok but don't think we'll be returning. Parking is only allowed in the car park or overflow so you have to take everything on a trolley to your accommodation. The Sensation caravan was ok but basic and lacking a few things - make sure you have tea towels, fairy liquid, a sponge and hand soap etc. The pools were good with fun activities but nothing really drew us to hang around the park, not much going on, honestly been to better parks - our kids are a bit older so its more suitable for younger families here. I left some feedback on a form about some few things that would be useful in the caravan like hooks to hang up things in the rooms and mattress protectors (was gross finding out there wasn't any!). Anyway we won't be returning for sure as have been to another holiday park run by a different operator and had a better experience.
