Landguard Holiday Park

We had nice few days here staff on reception very friendly and our check in at 4pm was straightforward only a small queue considering school hols! Overall we found our accommodation a Silver Caravan modern well equipped and clean! couldnt park outside van had 2 use main car park not ideal when raining & going back forth with luggage etc & We did raise couple issues with maintenance but they were sorted same day! We paid extra 4 the WiFi which is the same at all the dif hols parks we've stayed at over years We chose here as a small park and was just used as a base and found it to be a good loaction 2 get 2 various places we wanted 2 visit during out stay! Overall a good stay & would return

We booked to get away during the heatwave because our property becomes unbearable, managed to find a bronze caravan for less than £150 for 4 nights, even tho it was a "cheap" one it was spotless, felt modern and comfortable, was certainly enough room for us all, the park is small but you can use it's sister park facilities at lower Hyde so really the park is huge! My daughter who is Autistic absolutely loved the small play park it was perfect for her and was quiet, service in the showbar was a little slow (I waited 15 minutes for someone to appear at the bar, it wasn't busy there was no one there) however this could have been the need for a break or the toilet it's fine when I was served, I was served with a smile and incredibly friendly staff. My gripe is with one of the entertainment team, my toddler went into a meltdown, I was trying to remove her from the venue as quickly as I could, it was already stressful with everyone staring at her but the dirty looks and sigh of relief from the ents person when I got her out was awful, I understand not many people understand autism but if you're on an entertainment team on a holiday park I do expect you to be accepting of everyone. Thankfully I am used to people judging her and it didn't ruin our holiday. The reception team are great, although our check in was at 16:00 we arrived at 17:00 and our caravan wasn't ready yet, the festival weekend had just happened so I'm sure the cleaning team had alot to do so that was abit annoying but they did ring within 10.mins saying it was ready, they also rang the next day to check everything was ok Overall it was a good stay and we would more than likely return, prices on site are of course expensive but this is the same any holiday park a pint, fruit shoot & Coke cost us £13 so be prepared to spend or leave site for drinks.

We recently stayed at Landguard Holiday Park and, unfortunately, the experience did not fully meet expectations. The accommodation is in need of upgrading. It felt quite dated and worn, and overall did not reflect the standard suggested online. The photos on the website were particularly misleading—they present a much more modern and well-maintained environment than what we actually found on arrival. One of the biggest disappointments was the lack of WiFi. In today’s day and age, especially for families travelling with children, this is a basic expectation and should be clearly stated beforehand. Additionally, the surrounding areas near the lodges were not well maintained. There were a lot of dead leaves around, and the general appearance felt untidy and not very clean, which took away from the overall holiday experience. That said, there were some positives. The kitchen was very well equipped, which made self-catering easy and convenient. Also, the staff at reception were very friendly and welcoming, which we appreciated. The location itself has potential, but the park would benefit significantly from better upkeep, clearer communication, and investment in modernising the accommodation. Overall, a disappointing stay given the expectations set by the website.

I recently stayed at Parkdean Resorts Landguard Holiday Park and overall, the holiday itself was enjoyable—but the check-in experience really let it down. We were scheduled to check in at 4:00 pm, yet we ended up waiting around 30 minutes just to receive our key. This was frustrating, especially considering that the park charges extra for early check-in. If guests are expected to pay for arriving early, there should also be some form of compensation when check-in is delayed. Aside from that, the stay itself was good. However, I was also disappointed with the service at the restaurant, as the staff were not very cooperative or helpful. In summary, while the holiday park has its positives, improvements are definitely needed in customer service—particularly during check-in and in the restaurant.
