The Coach House

Families and larger groups will find The Coach House works well for a week away on the Isle of Wight. It sleeps six across three bedrooms: a ground-floor super kingsize with ensuite (divisible into two singles if needed), a first-floor kingsize, and a twin room. Two bathrooms serve the property, one upstairs and one on the ground floor. The kitchen is equipped for self-catering with a full range of appliances including dishwasher and washer-dryer, and each bedroom has a smart TV with Netflix.

The grounds are the real draw. A sloping garden with patio and seating leads directly down to the beach—roughly 200 yards away via your own private path through the property's woodland edge. A hot tub seats six. There's enclosed lawn, a gas barbecue, and parking for up to six vehicles between the driveway and carport. Electricity, wi-fi, bed linen and towels are included. The property sits on a private road near Big Mead Car Park; no smoking throughout.

One internal step divides the ground and first floors. Travel cots, highchairs and stairgates are available on request. The layout means families with younger children or those with mobility concerns can use the ground-floor bedroom without negotiating stairs.
