About Inglestone House
Inglestone House is a Grade B listed Georgian townhouse a short walk from Kelso's main square, run as a bed and breakfast by owners Colin and Lisa Seccombe since 2014. The property has six en-suite bedrooms, including a family suite and several twin rooms, along with ground-floor rooms and a rear access ramp for guests with mobility needs, and has been shortlisted for national tourism awards for its guest experience.
Breakfast is the property's particular strength, freshly cooked to order each morning using local produce, and a small lending library adds a homely touch not often found in larger hotels. The central location puts Kelso's shops, cafes and the River Tweed within a few minutes' walk of the front door.
Inglestone House suits visitors who want a genuinely personal welcome and a quality breakfast over hotel-style facilities, and its position in the heart of Kelso means everything else the town has to offer is close at hand.
What guests say
Charming B&B in an ideal location with delightful hosts. Brilliantly located overlooking the Abbey but backing onto the main square of Kelso. A very short walk to some excellent restaurants and a very good, friendly pub. The rooms are a good size and face the Abbey. The hospitality is the highlight. The husband and wife team work hard to keep this historic property in perfect condition and produce a wonderful breakfast each morning. They also have happily share their knowledge of the area, including best restaurants, pubs and shops.

The hosts are a delightful couple who made us feel right at home upon arrival. The rooms are comfortable and well appointed, with clear instructions on features such as the shower. The garden is a lovely place to sit and relax. The home is centrally located within the town. The breakfast was delicious. Don't miss out on the porridge.

Inglestone House is in the heart of Kelso overlooking the green, which makes it quieter than the town centre but still just a minute walk from the main square. Inglestone House is very well maintained and spotlessly clean! On arrival we did have a small issue with our room which was dealt with very professionally. We were offered another room which was cozy and warm. The decor is very fresh and clean. The rooms offer tea/coffee, water and some biscuits and there is fresh milk available at all times in reception. The breakfast was of good quality with excellent service and good conversation. Overall, an excellent place to stay for a short break in Kelso!
