My stay at Acorn was better than expected and perfect if traveling with public transport. Took a train to Penrith and then a bus to Keswick and the bus stop was a mere 5 minute walk from Acorn House. Whilst not using our own vehicle, parking is available at house if needed. We received a warm welcome from the staff and a smooth check in process. Immediately stepping in, I felt like I was frozen in time with the timeless interior of the house. Wonderful decor, clean and cozy. We were directed to our room up the stairs. The room was very neat, spacious bathroom, an installed pump to ensure proper water pressure and heating. The bed itself was perfect for a night sleep. We were a couple enough space for 3 maybe 4 people. Windows easily open out for a great air flow and enjoyment of the fresh air. As well as views of the mountain. The comfortable beddings ensured we could've kept the windows open and stay warm and cozy through the night, there is also a shade to pull to block the light out. Room contains 2 TVs. Breakfast was included with our stay. A full menu with the common breakfast items you can think of. Full English, smoked salmon with eggs, eggs Benedict, you get the point. They also will provide toast, cereals, fruit, granola and some pastries as well as juice, tea or coffee for breakfast. There is also a veggie/vegan menu and they were able to offer meat substitutes for us. Also a lot of leaflets with information are available about Keswick and the lakes, maps as well if needed. Overall, I felt like I was staying with my family, the staff were so kind, friendly, helpful and very interactive. Staying at the Acorn House offered so much more than we thought and we hope to return.

Our fifth visit to this B & B. The breakfast is always excellent with plenty of choice and it has it's own car park! The room was clean and comfortable and the location is good - only a five minute walk into town.

Just stayed at this bed and breakfast for two nights, rooms are cosy and clean tea coffee facilities in the room comfortable beds, breakfast is delicious car park is a massive advantage 5 minutes walk into Keswick town centre would definitely recommend this bed and breakfast 😊
