Chaucer Apmt 2 comes ready for independent travel. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher and washer-dryer built in, so you can cook properly and do laundry without leaving the building. A fridge-freezer, TV, DVD and CD player are there too. Bed linen, towels and wi-fi are covered in the price, and there is space for one car on site.

The apartment occupies the lower ground floor of a converted Victorian hotel in central Keswick. It has one bedroom with a kingsize bed, a bathroom with both bath and shower, and an open-plan living and dining area. The town centre is a five-minute walk away, and the lake shore roughly ten minutes on foot. The property does not permit smoking.

Absolutely avoid at all costs!! No information prior to arrival on how to gain access (leading to needing to stay at premier inn on first night), eventually recieving info at 4am on key box, no hot water/heating and error messages on the boiler, ring emergency contact numbers and number doesn't connect and no way to leave messages. Faulty towers would be a better stay. If not travelling with kids would be laughable. PLEASE DO NOT waste your time/money on trying to book this accomodation.

Great place to stay in Keswick. Quiet and close to the town centre. Chaucer House Apartments have excellent facilities, spacious and comfortable.

Had a comfortable stay in this warm and modern apartment. Although we enjoyed our stay and the views from both bedrooms were amazing we didn't stay indoors as much as we planned because the apartment just lacked those homely touches, mainly soft furnishings that make a place cosy and welcoming. The bedrooms would benefit from plug sockets and a bigger mirror. All the blinds were awkward to open and close and were dusty. Character is hard to inject into a newer place but apart from these minor issues I would say it is worth a try. Car park space was great as was location.

Great location just a few minutes from the centre of Keswick but very quiet at night. Ideal size for 2 people. Warm, comfortable and well equipped. Not a 5 because as bit expensive for what is basic accommodation, the communal entrance and hall have something of the youth hostel about them. Also, no WiFi! That didn't worry us but would others. Also a limited number of tv stations available. Booked through Sykes, not the friendliest staff we have dealt with but online booking easy with excellent follow up and info.
