Lane Farm – Mount View sits on a working farm in the Holme Valley, just outside Holmfirth on the edge of the Peak District. The location offers extensive views across countryside, and sheep and cattle graze the surrounding land. Access is via a cobbled drive, and the cottage itself requires three steps to the entrance; the garden has a further six steps and includes a patio with furniture.

The property sleeps six across three bedrooms: one double with an ensuite shower, another double, and a third with two single beds. The main bathroom has a bath with overhead shower. Downstairs, there's a living room with Freeview TV and electric woodburner, a combined kitchen and dining area with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge-freezer and washing machine, plus a separate toilet. Wi-Fi, electricity, bed linen and towels are included. A travel cot and highchair are available on request. Private parking for three cars is on site, and one small dog can stay for free, though it must remain on a lead because of the sheep.

The Pennine Way runs through nearby moorland, with walking and cycling routes readily accessible from the farm. Holmfirth itself is within easy reach, as are the higher peaks of the surrounding hills. The cottage suits families or groups wanting a genuine countryside base with space to spread out.
