What visitors say
Had the best few hours here! The outside areas are proper lush, bring a picnic! We wish we had! Staff were very welcoming, the only thing we couldn't understand was why it was so quiet? We only saw another couple of people all the time we were here which made for a very peaceful but strangely quiet museum? Not sure if that is normal or we just picked a quiet day. Parking is in a factory car park across the road and is secure, controlled by a guy in a gatehouse. I think this is temporary as their car park looks to be having works but it's literally over the road so no biggie. We thought it was a shame the bridge linking the site to the Kirkstall Road complex was not in use as it would have been handy to pop across for lunch and drinks during our visit, again no biggie as it's only a 5 minute drive away. Will come again this Summer but bring a picnic. It's great fun.

I have given Leeds Industrial Museum five stars because Google won't let me give it six, but it deserves six. This place is incredible, there is so much to see showcasing the massive contribution Leeds has given to the world in technology, engineering and innovation. There is plenty of information next to the exhibits explaining the industrial processes and what life was like in Victorian times. The staff are brilliant, very friendly and knowledgeable. As someone interested in our industrial past I was very impressed with the museum. The museum is in a beautiful setting by the river and is a good place for families as there are things for children. There is even a free cinema. It's a great day out and a visit is highly recommended.

Truly a phenomenal experience. The staff were very kind and helpful, showing the best route to experience the grounds properly. The machines are a work of art, and have just the right amount of detail explaining the history and processes that occurred. There was plenty of interactive pieces along the way, with a dedicated children's play area and a cafe with outdoor seating!

I really enjoyed it. It gives a good overview about the industrial history of Leeds which is mostly influenced by wool. I think it’s good to spend 2 hours there. There is also a lovely outdoor garden where you can have Picknick.
