Hildeval is a modern-fronted bed and breakfast set up on Easthill in Kirkwall, with the kind of outlook that takes in Kirkwall Bay from parts of the property. It's a low-key place rather than a grand one, but the setting above the town gives it a quiet advantage over more central options.

Extremely nice people, very homely. Every room has a TV and WiFi is best you can get in a place out of the way like Orkney. Highly recommend it, good location too but has small parking, no fault on them

People- The people who run this place are very friendly and welcoming. Rooms – My room was small but good and cozy, clean, lot's of natural light. Breakfast - The breakfast was great! They also have gluten free toast! Location – This is out of town so it was very quiet. The view from their dining room was amazing!

Loved my stay here. Amanda and George were wonderful hosts, delicious breakfast (I picked Orkney smoked salmon with eggs!) and comfy bed. The shower pressure is fantastic. It’s in a lovely neighborhood, a nice short walk into town. Would absolutely stay here again!

We had a fabulous 2 night stay with two amazing breakfasts. I wish I could eat here every morning. The room was large and comfortable and service was excellent.
