What visitors say
Lee-on-the-Solent is a charming coastal spot on the south coast of England that offers a relaxing and peaceful seaside experience. The beach itself is very clean and well-maintained, making it an excellent destination for a quiet walk or a casual afternoon by the sea. However, it’s important to note that the beach is mostly pebbly rather than sandy, so it might not be ideal for sunbathing or barefoot walks. Still, the overall scenery more than makes up for it. One of the best features of Lee-on-the-Solent is the number of benches available along the promenade. These are perfectly placed to take in the stunning views of the sea, especially on a clear day when you can spot ships in the distance and enjoy the fresh breeze. It’s a great place to sit with a coffee or lunch and just watch the world go by. The beach is also dog-friendly, as long as your pet is kept on a lead. It’s a nice place for a relaxed walk with your dog while still respecting other beachgoers. The area feels safe, family-friendly, and not overly crowded. Parking is reasonably priced — two hours cost around £3 at the time of writing, and the car park is conveniently located just a short walk from the promenade. There are also a few cafes and ice cream shops nearby, making it easy to spend a couple of hours enjoying the surroundings. Overall, Lee-on-the-Solent is a lovely choice for a peaceful coastal visit. It may not be a traditional sandy beach, but its cleanliness, accessibility, and beautiful views make it a worthwhile stop for both locals and visitors.

Nice and tidy beach with a lots of car park spaces around. Small splash park for the kids as well as playground so kids can spend nice time. Opposite the beach there is a Tesco, nice cafe with really tasty ice creams. This is nice place to practice paddle boarding and kayaking. Good place to spend time with friends and family.
