About Dakota Leeds

Dakota Leeds sits on Russell Street in the heart of the city centre, a short walk from City Square, the railway station and the First Direct Arena. The hotel is built around the Dakota brand's signature look: dark, contemporary interiors, low lighting and a calm, understated feel that stands apart from the more traditional grand hotels elsewhere in Leeds.

Rooms are finished with premium bedding, rainfall showers and a consistent, pared-back design across the standard rooms and suites. The Grill restaurant serves confident, comforting British food alongside a well-stocked bar, both popular with guests staying for business and leisure alike, and the hotel also offers meeting rooms and private dining space.

Its location makes it a genuinely convenient base for exploring Leeds on foot, with the Victoria Quarter, Kirkgate Market and the main shopping streets all within ten minutes, while the railway station puts day trips to York or Harrogate within easy reach.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel. From the very beginning, the service was outstanding — the staff was incredibly helpful, responsive, and accommodating even before we arrived. During our stay, everyone went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The hotel itself was excellent, with a great atmosphere and attention to detail throughout. We truly felt welcomed and well taken care of the entire time. We highly recommend this hotel and would gladly stay here again!

Stayed here for a Sunday night in early June. Everything was fantastic, from the amazing lady at check in who was so friendly and kind (she wished me good luck with the job interview I was staying over for and gave me a lovely bag of goodies), to the wonderful steak dinner in the restaurant on the bottom floor. The room was refined, spacious and quiet, and the shower was refreshingly powerful. To top it off the location is ideally central. I couldn't say enough positive things about the hotel itself, but it was the staff that would make me return here in an instant.

Outstanding , is the word that describes our stay. We stayed on the Sunday deal that includes breakfast and late check out. The Hotel check in staff have exceptional customer service skills. Everywhere is spotlessly clean and smells amazing. Room was beautiful. Bar ambience was good. Breakfast was excellent. Would definitely recommend and will definitely return

Dakota was absolutely fabulous. The beds were incredibly comfortable, making it easy to get a great night’s sleep. The shower was powerful and refreshing, which I loved, and the customer service was amazing from start to finish. The rooms were also immaculate — everything was spotless and beautifully maintained. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel. Although in a busy part of Leeds, we did not hear any noise from outside. Georgia, was fantastic and met our requests prior to arrival, ensured our room was lovely and warm. Thank you for the beautiful candle!
