About Malmaison Leeds

Malmaison Leeds occupies a beautifully restored Victorian building on Swinegate, just a few minutes' walk from the railway station and the heart of the shopping district. The brand's signature boutique styling runs throughout the hotel's 100 rooms and suites, with dark, moody colour schemes and a consistently high standard of finish.

The on-site Chez Mal Brasserie and Bar serves modern British fusion food and has built its own following independent of hotel guests, while flexible event spaces make the hotel a popular choice for business travellers and small conferences as well as leisure breaks.

Its central Swinegate location makes it one of the most convenient options in the city for anyone wanting to walk to the Victoria Quarter, Kirkgate Market and the main nightlife streets, all within a few minutes on foot.

Visited a few times and wonderful experience each time. The rooms have everything you need and extremely comfortable beds, I always have the best sleep. They always have delicious breakfast that I look forward to and options for everyone, whatever you like. Location is lovely and convenient within walking distance of the city centre, train station, and anything else you could want. I’d like to thank the lovely Zeinab for making our stay wonderful with her friendly personality, they are also very accommodating with rooms and anything you may need. Our go-to place to stay in leeds. Definitely would recommend 🙂

Good hotel in city centre, close to the train station. Room was nice, just an odd shape. Had a good view of the canal. Breakfast was OK but was table service and took time to arrive - I visited for work and prefer a buffet where I can quickly grab what I need and get to the office.

Had a great weekend stay here! From walking in the front door, it was lovely and welcoming. The front desk staff were very friendly and chatty and checked us in within seconds and on our way! The rooms were immaculate and very well presented. The pillows, quilt and bedding were lovely and soft and so comfortable. Been a while since I slept that well in a hotel. We didn't eat in the hotel in the evening as we had plans elsewhere. But the breakfast... Now that is something to behold! Massive continental buffet with loads of options all exceptionally well presented, plus a cooked option as well. I went got the shakshuka breakfast, it the first time I've tried it.. it was amazing, so full of flavour! Service at breakfast and in the evening when we had drinks was wonderful, staff were chatty and friendly and attentive. The whole hotel was clean, spotlessly clean and quiet! Absolutely will be back again! Well done, I could have taken those pillows home they were that good!

Positive experience right from the start. We came for my mother’s birthday and received a birthday card, plate of fruit and two free glasses of Prosecco. The room was stunning and we couldn’t have asked for better service!! Then in the middle of the night, we had a family emergency and had to rush out as soon as we could for the next available train. Staff were fantastic and brought us continental breakfast to the room whilst we packed. This was such a comfort during a difficult time and we’re certainly coming back to make up for lost time!
