About Travelodge Leeds Central

A quiet Business Floor sets Travelodge Leeds Central apart from the average budget stay, giving guests who need an early night or an early start a calmer corner of the building to retreat to. The hotel occupies Blayds Court in Blayds Yard, within easy reach of Trinity Leeds, the O2 Academy and the city's theatres, making it a practical base for both weekend visits and work trips.

There are 98 rooms across four floors, each with an en-suite bathroom and the option of drinks brought to the room, plus accessible rooms for those who need them. A lift serves all floors, and reception is staffed around the clock. On site there's a restaurant and bar for meals and drinks without having to go out, along with breakfast service and WiFi throughout. Some rooms run warm and noise can carry, so it's worth requesting a quieter spot if that matters to you.

Parking is chargeable and available nearby at Trinity Leeds car park on Swinegate, with a discount for Travelodge guests who validate their ticket at reception. Pets are welcome, and the surrounding area has plenty of pubs, restaurants and entertainment within walking distance, with the wider appeal of clean, well-kept rooms and staff who are consistently helpful.

Basically you know what you're going to get it's a nice cheap no frills hotel. We stayed here for 2 nights, as soon as we got into the room we noticed the remote control for the TV didn't work and the coffee machine which we paid extra for didn't work. I had noticed a cleaner working on the floor so asked her for assistance. She swapped the remote for us but couldn't resolve the coffee machine issue. When we went out we reported the issue to reception. On returning the coffee machine had been replaced and did work. The following morning we realised the quiet room we paid extra for still wasn't that quiet. We were on the 4th floor and the bin lorry emptying bottles at 5am not so quiet. Then a delivery lorry 30 mins later reversing the beeping not so quiet. Also the other guests doors closing at night not quiet. In the shower the following morning we realised the shower gel container on the wall was empty and we only had 1 bath towel for 2 people. On going out that morning reported the lack of shower gel to reception. Still not filled at the end of that day. The hotel is very centrally located.

Although the room was perfect in cleanliness and the beds were comfortable, the down side was that in the very warm weather the room was unbearably hot and stuffy which made us feel like we couldn't breathe properly a electric fan was provided which did nothing but blow the hot air around the room and in my daughter and friends room the peep hole was broken which meant that you could see straight into their room through it which wasn't great. also the entrance of the hotel isnt in the best location as we had to walk on the road with our toddler to reach the path half way up to get to the hotel.

The rooms are okay, pretty run down and dark but if you just need a place to sleep it’s fine. The location is great and very central. Really easy access to bars and restaurants. The staff were really nice on check in. I can’t comment on the breakfast as it didn’t look very appealing so I didn’t bother trying it. The absolute worst thing is the noise. You couldn’t be any closer to the train tracks unless you were in a train. It’s incredibly loud at all hours. To add to this, a local bar was hosting karaoke and it sounded like they were at the window. The final straw was the restaurant below emptying their glass bin. All in all, if you couldn’t sleep next to a jet engine you’d probably struggle in these rooms. If you can, the location is great!

We arrived around 7.30 on a Saturday night, we had a 2 course meal which was really nice along with breakfast the next day that was lovely and reasonable priced, shout out to Amelia-rose who served our evening meal she was absolutely lovely and couldn’t do enough for us. Room was lovely and clean the only downside for us was being kept awake half the night by people having parties. Not ideal on a child free night and having to travel 4 hours home the next day. But overall stay with the hotel was lovely
