About ibis Leicester City

Leicester's city centre is easy to reach from St Georges Way, where ibis Leicester City offers straightforward, comfortable accommodation with good transport connections. The hotel's 94 rooms are simple but well kept, with en-suite bathrooms, and there are family and accessible rooms available for those who need them.

Breakfast here has a good variety, and there's a restaurant and bar on site for evening meals and drinks, along with kids' meals for families. Rooms come with drinks available, and staff are generally helpful. That said, lifts have occasionally been out of order and air conditioning doesn't always keep up, so it's worth bearing in mind in warmer weather.

There's no parking at the property, so guests arriving by car will need to make alternative arrangements, but pubs, restaurants and entertainment are all within easy reach nearby, along with a golf course for those wanting to fill some time outdoors. Pets are welcome, and luggage storage is available for early arrivals or late departures.

Great location close to the station. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Room was clean and had all the amenities needed, bed was very comfortable. Unfortunately the room was very hot, the air cooling unit was not really doing anything. The window did open but was restricted and what air was coming in was going straight behind the wardrobe. I did mention this to reception who were apologetic and said I could have requested a fan - it would have been nice to be told that on check in. Breakfast was good, wide range of products. Hot food was well cooked and very tasty. I will not hesitate to stay here again but hopefully when its cooler

So where do I start... firstly location was good..close to center of city shops and train station...but as for the hotel .. albeit we were holiday makers and full paying etc...felt in the way of the people they staying there on daily basis ..for example they can come down and sit in the air con lounge and nothing is said we come down this morning five mins early for breakfast to cool down as rooms hot and we're told we too early ..yes we know but wanted to sit in lounge area ..I thought you could when staying in hotels obviously not here ..the guy wish I got his name started hoovering around us when nothing needed to be hoovered to make us feel in the way ..within in minutes he comes up to us and asked what room we are in ..and yet within minutes of that others come down and we're not asked ? Talk about make you feel uncomfortable...then he comes up and says oh you can go for breakfast...seem they put up and have staying with them either homeless or others and put them before holiday makers ...rooms were cluttered not much room to move ...lift was working but the one entrance by carpark always had certain people hanging around ...back to breakfast again ..not nice when the buffet is out and people using Thier hands and not the tongs ..very off putting...and again it was the same ones they have staying with them ...first and last time staying here 😞

Stayed for 2 nights 1 of which was in a disabled room (I'm not disabled) the room was disgusting, smelt foisty and damp, not clean, dirty walls, horrible wet room, rubbish window blind and really poor heating. Bed was also poor. 2nd night I stayed in a standard room and it was a completely different experience. It was clean, tidy and great shower room. Given 2 stars as the first night ranks amongst the worst places I've ever stayed!

On arrival i notice there was very limited parking, made even more so by works being started on the car park, there was a total of 11 spaces, 5 of which were disabled bays. Checking in was easy and quick, with very polite staff. The room was small, with a small TV and a pod like small bathroom (toilet, sink and shower) the 1st night i was awoken by the fire alarm, and we all evacuated (found out this was due to someone smoking in their room) never received any apologise from the staff, I know it's not their fault, but still, would be nice. Breakfast was very minimal on the small set up they have hear, but it was nice food. The second night I ate in the restaurant were there is limited options available, but again was nice and the staff there were accommodating. The 3rd night after going for a run in 2 degree weather, I hopped in a shower that started off luke warm and went freezing cold within 30 seconds of being in, not pleasant. I didn't have any hot water that night. The next morning i realised my door to the room didnt shut properly with out an extra shove, meaning the 1st 2 nights anyone could have just walked in. I chose to eat at a restaurant up the road that night. The beds were OK, nothing special but it is a budget hotel, I just won't be going back.
