Shepherd's Cottage is a Grade II listed farmhouse built in the 1600s, stone-built with mullion windows, exposed beams and quarry tile flooring that speak to its age. The current owners have refurbished it while keeping the original character intact. You get the whole place to yourselves—three bedrooms, three bathrooms, parking on site, and an enclosed garden with a patio. One dog is welcome.
The layout spreads across two floors. Downstairs there's a living room with a multi-fuel burner, and a kitchen/dining room fitted with a Rayburn and the usual appliances for self-catering. Upstairs, two of the bedrooms have double beds and one has twin singles; two rooms have ensuite or private bathroom access. Bed linen, Wi-Fi, heating and hot water are included. The garden opens onto a larger paddock beyond, and there's a bike store if you've brought cycles.
This is quiet countryside living—the cottage sits back from the road on a private drive. Hawes and the Yorkshire Dales are nearby, and the Lake District is within reach for a day out. Smoking is not permitted inside.
