We put our touring caravan on Lakeside in March and instantly loved the site. It has great facilities on site and the site itself is maintained to a very high standard. We love it so much we decided to upgrade to a static. Charlie has been brilliant throughout the whole process. There was no pressure and Charlie was very patient with us as it took us sometime to get the finances sorted. We look forward to many happy years on Lakeside.

We’ve visited Lakeside many times over the years while borrowing my parents’ touring caravan. Earlier this year, they decided to permanently site it here, and after spending four nights at Lakeside, we knew it was time to speak to Charlie and see what static caravans and plots were available. Just a month later, we’re now the proud owners of our own holiday home! A huge thank you to Charlie for making the whole process so seamless. He answered all of our questions, was professional throughout, and nothing was ever too much trouble. He made the whole experience easy and enjoyable from start to finish. The site is perfect for our family. There’s so much to do, and the children especially love the swimming pool! We couldn’t be happier with our experience and can’t wait to make lots of wonderful memories at Lakeside for years to come.

Recently stayed at this site in touring caravan with two grandkids. This is an excellent site with very good amenities with very clean and modern toilet/ shower blocks. Lots of things to keep children entertained. Friendly helpful staff. All pitches quite large and fully serviced and very easy to pitch up. We did not use the restaurants but they did look very nice. Only down side is the fact that we only got one access card where two would have been handy but must say we did not ask for a second. Would highly recommend this site especially for families.

After seeing many photos of this stunning park and brand new toilet and shower facilities we had high hopes. Sadly the glamour stops at the static side of the park. The touring field is very average kept to an acceptable standard but with its steel fencing around felt very commercial. Weeds growing on pitches and grass worn away at caravan steps on most pitches. Obviously no winter maintenance to reinstate the grass. The play parks are great for the kids, as is the little sandpit near the club house. The toilet block is new and fancy but cleaned to a very basic standard. The club house is unwelcoming both on the layout of the low dance floor where your kids are out of sight, and the owners/regulars hovering for their preferred seats for bingo, straight after kids disco. The children’s entertainers were good though and was worth and hour for the kids. Perhaps if bingo was played first then kids disco, followed by entertainment, people would feel more inclined to stay for show. We stayed Saturday and Sunday night. I’d promised the kids they could go in the on site arcade on the Sunday. Only to find it had closed. Everything seemed to come to a halt after Saturday evening. Despite the touring field still being quite full with families. No entertainment, no arcade, outdoor seating getting packed away and so on. The most disappointing was the swimming. First the fact you have to pay extra, once already paying above average for your pitch. But mainly the open plan changing rooms. I took my 5&8 yr old girls by myself and after paying my £10 found out there is actually no suitable changing facilities us as a family. Fortunately we were the last out of the pool the men’s changing rooms was empty. Not sure I’d feel comfortable getting them undressed in a room with half a dozen other men baring all. Overall a nice site, more so on the static’s side, but pretty average on the touring field. Such a shame as a few differences would make the world of difference. Sadly, we won’t be back. Better out there.
