About Dockside Aparthotel BW Signature Collection by Best Western
Walk into one of the 48 apartments at Dockside Aparthotel and you get a proper kitchen, an en-suite bathroom with a shower guests rate highly for water pressure, and either river or city views depending on where you're placed. Rooms are clean and generously sized, making this a practical choice for longer stays or anyone who'd rather cook than eat out every night, and family rooms are available for those travelling with children.
The building rises seven floors above Keel Wharf, with 24 hour reception and free WiFi throughout, plus an electric vehicle charge point for drivers. Breakfast is served on site, though some find it pricier than expected, so the kitchens in each apartment are a useful fallback. Parking isn't included but chargeable options are available nearby.
The location puts guests within easy reach of Liverpool's Royal Albert Dock, with pubs, bars, restaurants and entertainment all close at hand, and golf and fishing available nearby for those wanting to venture further. Staff are consistently described as friendly and helpful, and the aparthotel is generally felt to offer fair value for its setting.
What guests say
Reception staff was very friendly The apartment is spacious, clean a great place. Extremely good location. Carpark is close by and even with the discount is pricey. Down side is breakfast! It was absolutely rubbish! They called it a grab and go bag. My daughter got a flat croissant, water a tiny flapjack and instant porridge. I got an apple, a yogurt and a porridge. No milk, no cutlery. Not sure how we supposed to have it when we were leaving already!! We booked for 3 people and not being given the 3rd breakfast. And they charged extra £25 for this. Don’t pay for breakfast from them. Outrageous!

Would just like to say a very massive thank you to Peter he made our experience here one to remember. He was very helpful and lovely to our group and definitely went above and beyond for us. We had no problems finding the hotel and the price for what we paid for the accommodation was more than reasonable, would definitely stay again.

Overall, we had a good experience, but a few issues prevented it from being a 5-star stay. As a group, we enjoyed our time—the apartment was clean, spacious, and reasonably priced for Liverpool over a bank holiday weekend. The main downside was the breakfast. We paid around £60 extra for four people, but it wasn’t made clear that this would not be a hot breakfast. On both mornings, we were told they hadn’t received a delivery. As we were in a bit of a rush, I asked for a refund, which I felt was reasonable. Instead, we were asked to wait 20–30 minutes, after which a staff member arrived with multiple bags of food. While this technically fulfilled the breakfast offering, it felt more like a workaround than a genuinely helpful solution and wasn’t what we expected. We are also still waiting for the return of the security deposit, which is quite uncommon in the UK these days and adds to the frustration. In summary, it was a good stay but not an excellent one.

Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Great location, rooms were clean and the shower were nice and powerful. Beds are sized either 3/4 or double (not totally sure as in used to a super king size). Breakfast is a bag of bottle water, pastry, yoghurt, apple and an instant porridge pot. Things to note: - no oven, only hobs in the kitchen. - they take a £100 deposit on arrival. They pay this back on checkout but in my case it took 6 days to go back into my account - if you park in the multistorey which is less than a 5 min walk away, may sure you get a token from reception on departure to reduce parking from £27 per day to £18. Would stay again.
