About Hampton by Hilton Liverpool City Centre

Views over Albert Dock from many of its 151 rooms are the standout feature at Hampton by Hilton Liverpool City Centre, a modern hotel set within Kings Dock Mill. Rooms are air-conditioned and en-suite, with family and accessible options available, and the building spans six floors served by a lift, making it a straightforward base for a city stay.

Breakfast is included, and there's a restaurant, bar and snack bar on site for guests who'd rather not venture out, along with outdoor seating, a gym, and meeting rooms for those combining business with leisure. Some visitors have found the breakfast selection running low at times, so it's worth arriving early if that matters to you. Chargeable on-site parking, including secure underground spaces, is a practical plus in a city centre location.

The hotel's position near the waterfront puts Liverpool's shops, restaurants, pubs and entertainment venues within easy reach, with walking areas and watersports also nearby for those wanting to get outdoors. Pets are welcome, and staff are consistently described as friendly and helpful, adding to the ease of a stay built around comfortable, clean rooms and a genuinely central spot.

It’s okay I suppose? Room was nice enough - decent size and clean. Staff friendly. Fairly quiet despite overlooking a busy road. So why not 5 stars? Consistently felt like they scrimped on the small things that could have made it great. Tiny portions of rubbish coffee in the rooms. Impossible to get a useable amount of shampoo out of the dispensers. Waffles for breakfast but no toppings. That sort of thing. This was close to being my new “go to” hotel when travelling to Liverpool for work - but there are a few too many small irritations that just add up to a feeling of cost-cutting affecting the experience - and not what I expected given what I paid. Could be easily resolved.

Checked in today by Emma. What a bright and bubbly welcome, she was wounderfull and explained everything we needed to know for our stay. She even managed to link our stay to my Honours card. Room is spotlessly clean and got a partial dock view. Location is close to center and Primarni. Secure underground parking was £22 and served by a lift to reception. M&S Arena is just across the way and an Uber is £6.75. Went out to eat and will be upnand away early in the morning so can't comment on food. Would I book again YES!

Interesting hotel which has a feel of budget and medium range. The water in the sink in my room didn't drain away very well, but a member of staff at breakfast when I mentioned it did offer me a meal and drink in the bar as a gesture of good will for the inconvenience. Breakfast is chaotic to say the least and the food basic, but it is hot. The staff in the majority were very friendly and helpful. Last point is the hotels parking costs which are £22 (discounted) per 24hr period. It's a shame these couldn't be a tad less for guests.

Staff are lovely and helpful. Rooms are clean and well-equipped. Shower is hot and powerful with plenty of fluffy white towels. Breakfast is included in room price. Location is a 10-15 minute walk from Liverpool Central station and 15-20 minutes walk from Lime Street Station. Hotel is quite close to Liverpool One bus station. The only letdown for me was the food. The first evening I ordered a BBQ chicken toastie from the bar. It came practically cremated. I also ordered a roasted red pepper soup and chicken wings. These were fine, although it did take approx 30 minutes for the food to arrive. The second evening I ordered a cheese and onion toastie, chicken wings again, and breaded halloumi. These took 40-45 minutes to arrive. The hotel was not busy at 1800 when I ordered or 1900 when I finished my food. Breakfast starts at 0630 and the first morning I went down for service starting as I was on a tight schedule, due to having to get to work, and all was fine. The second morning I went down for 0630 and none of the hot food was put out, none of the juices or water were out, so I had to make do with some toast until the other food was put out (except the toasters weren't turned onto the right setting, so the bread just "sat" there....). Good hotel, great rooms, fab staff, poor food.
