About The Dixie Dean Hotel
Liverpool's city centre is where The Dixie Dean Hotel makes its home, tucked on Victoria Street within walking distance of the shops, bars and attractions that draw people to the city. It's a straightforward base for anyone wanting to explore without travelling far each day.
The hotel has 39 rooms, including family rooms, many with spa baths that guests single out as a real plus. Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms, air conditioning and free WiFi, plus drinks available in-room, though standards of upkeep can vary and it's worth noting some rooms have been reported as less well maintained than others. There's a restaurant and bar on site, along with breakfast each morning; kids' meals are available too, though a few guests have found breakfast items served cold rather than hot. Staff are consistently described as friendly and helpful, and the hotel is generally seen as good value for its central position.
A lift serves all floors and luggage storage is available for those arriving early or leaving late. Outside the hotel, guests have a golf course, entertainment, pubs and bars, and further restaurants all nearby, making it easy to fill evenings without venturing far from Victoria Street.
What guests say
Stayed here three nights, great value for money, nice decor, had three great nights sleep. The only one thing I did not like was that we couldn't open a window as they were sealed up. Room needed a blast of fresh air. We had the Air-conditioning on all the time which left us dry and congested. Overall though a good hotel, friendly staff. We did pay for breakfast but never tried it but our friends who also stayed here said the breakfast was very good. We will definitely stay here again.

This is a fabulous hotel in the heart of the city, the rooms are very very spacious! Lovely bathroom with spa bath, tea and coffee making facilities and a fantastic breakfast with something for everyone, we only stayed one night as we were flying home to Spain the next day but it was perfect and we will definitely stay longer next time. We left our bags before checking in and again after we checked out, all the staff were great, especially the young person helping us on the Sunday, I think the name was Cris, their mother was also part of the team and was really helpful.Great vibe and atmosphere made for a wonderful stay.

Complete dirty hole!! Arrived a few weeks ago for a hen party stayed in room 106! Firstly our booking was for 3 rooms of 6, luckily there was only 4 of us because this room would not have slept 6! Whole room smelt like damp and needed serious upgrading! The shower was a trickle when set to warm you could have peed harder! Reported this to reception and the girl was nothing short of rude! Sent someone to look at the shower didn’t believe them and came herself. Set the shower to cold and told us it was working but when turned to warm it was a trickle, after some back and forth she said she would get someone to come on the Saturday and fix the shower. Lo and behold it was never fixed! Wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone there is nothing luxury about it! Given the negative experience the hotel is in a great location and central to everything.

I never usually write reviews, but I was very disappointed. As far as the prices go, you can get a lot more for less; rival hotels offer swimming pools, gyms, saunas, and more. Even the Travelodge is three times cheaper and much cleaner. First of all, there is no parking, and because it is in the centre I paid £20.50 for one night. Upon arrival we received a warm welcome from the receptionist. When entering the building, the communal lighting comes on so late that I was opening the door before it actually turned on. Now for the actual problems: photos cannot convey smells, but the room had a musky, damp odor. The curtains do not block out the light, you cannot open the windows, and the wardrobe is battered. The bathroom floor has a large hole and several smaller ones; the light switch is hanging off; there is a small open panel in the bathroom full of insulation; the bed is two singles pushed together as a double; the wallpaper is torn; I could hear everything from the neighbouring rooms; and the toilet had dirt marks around the rim. The list goes on. We stayed In room 214, They suggest the Q park hotel which is around a 13 minute walk, This came to £27 when you can park right next to the hotel In Victoria Street Car Park and it was £20 with Cameras everywhere. The location is spot on, 5 minute drive from the docks, A couple feet away from the city centre.
